Maui Adventure Cruises Reviews Around the Web

Wife and I went on an afternoon Whale Watching excursion for two hours. Found several groups of whales that were very active. The Captain and crew were very knowledgeable and put us in position for the best views. We almost always go out on the rafts because they put you closest to the whales. Don't be surprised if one of them looks you in the eye like he's checking you out.

Toured from Lahaina to Lanai 1/2/19. It was magical to get the Lanai and be surrounded by a pod of Spinner Dolphins around 10am. Snorkeled the outside the Lanai harbor and the wind was up but the visibility was good. There is a 3 hour layover at Lanai where you are on your own and can enjoy the sparkling beach within walking distance. We checked out snorkeling from the beach out along a reef that extends about 1/4 mile. Again, gorgeous and magical. The boat is fast which is great and they pick you up and we head out to Lahaina but we were in search of whale arriving from Alaska. We had the best tour guide, Jeremiah who is a whale Biologist and found out some great info. on whale habits while admiring a newly born whale calf and their mother. Out captain was gracious and tolerant of the chaos and fun on the boat. We could not be more pleased.

Small Groups + Friendly Crew + Fast boats = Happy Guests

We have been whale watching with Maui Adventure Cruises during our annual trip to Maui for many, many years.

What you can expect: a friendly crew, much smaller groups than those bulky two-level ships, getting water-level with ocean wildlife, thoughtful education about the Pacific humpback whales, and free sodas and water during your two-hour tour.

With some luck, you could get close encounters with curious whales. We had whales swim up to our boat two out of three days we went out with Maui Adventure Cruises this year, including a tiny newborn calf.

Maui Adventure Cruises are conveniently located in Lahaina Harbor at slip #11, just across from the Court House and Banyan Tree. They do great snorkeling day trips as well, and are very military-friendly.

We've had great experiences with Jessica, Capt. Steph and Steve, Capt. Grayson and Allison, and Capt. Kiwi over the years. They're all fantastic!

When you're on Maui during whale season (December - April), you definitely should take at least one whale watching cruise. When you do, I highly recommend Maui Adventure Cruises.

What a great trip! My kids loved the raft! It was fast and cool being close to the water. We saw spinner dolphins and went to 2 get snorkeling locations around Lanai. The crew was awesome. One of our favorite Maui outings

Do not book with this tour group. Owner/contacts were rude. not in correct slip. Left without us. When we finally tracked them down bc no one was at slip they told us we were late and shifted blame. Note- after all of this waiting for them where we were supposed to and yelling to ship from dock (25 feet) Vinny was rude and told us we were 8 min late. However we were where we supposed to be. Didn’t find courtesy phone until 8 min late. Fisherman at wharf says it happens “all the time. “ They stopped answering phone calls from our resort. Tried to scam us out of money. Resort stood behind us. I don’t write bad reviews lightly. There are plenty of other options out there. Take those and spend money with nice people.
