One of the two best beaches for body boarding in the area. Beautiful beach with life guards until 4pm. Parking can be tough mid day but if you go after 2pm spots open up.

This is a beautiful public beach with easy water access and parking. Offshore reef good for snorkeling. Beach entry isn't as steep as other beaches. Some trees and picnic tables available off beach.

Great beach for kids or surfing. There is usually ample parking which is a real rarity on Maui. The beach has a longer break so reasonable surfing for intermediates and good for boogie boarding. The beach is shallow for a while so it's great for smaller children and it's one of the larger beaches so you needn't be stacked on top of your neighbour. There is a restaurant at the beach so if you want to take a break from the sand for a bite that is conveniently there. There are some walking trails beside the beach to break up the idleness of sitting all day. The trees stretch down over the sand so you can sit in full sun or shade whichever you prefer. Overall this one has a very broad appeal and can be counted on for something for everyone.

Great beach for swimming (left side) and snorkeling (right side). Trees along the back and right side provide excellent shade until 2-3pm.

Beautiful beach. Great for families with small kids. There are restrooms and a lifeguard on duty. It can be VERY windy, and the sand blows around and stings unless you’re close to the water or near the trees.
