I went on your Maui whale watching tour this last Friday. The experience was unlike most others in that the Maui Princess is an absolutely massive vessel that can hold 300 people, but they limit capacity to make it a better trip (and to help social distance.) We had around 30-40 people on the boat!!! The entire top level is wide open to see whales from a distance and up high. On the sides below there are open railings to see whales and you can go to the front or back. Plenty of room to see whales. We never had to worry about someone in front of us. Roomy, great crew, and the price was the lowest we could find. I highly recommend it!

We did a dinner cruise. It was ok. Not stellar, not terrible. There was entertainment by means of a single singer and bless her for entertaining us. The crew serving were on it. Bless them for their hard work.

But the overall feel of the cruise had a turn and burn dynamic. They crammed what we estimated 160 people on the boat and we were sitting opposite another couple at a tiny table. Not what I expected at all. Not romantic.

    Food was mediocre.

But we saw the sunset on a boat, on the ocean while in Maui. So that was awesome.

If your ideal is a dinner cruise, try another company. Just my advice. Wasn’t horrible but not worth it the cost.

Wasn't sure what to expect. When we booked but my husband and I had a great time we had the prime rib dinner which was good. The drinks were ok and the entertainment well it was unique and entertaining. We are glad we had this experience. Thanks for making a great evening for us.

Avoid the Princess Maui dinner cruise. Waste of time and money. Undertrained staff, sardine style seating, a boat that should have retired years ago, disgusting facilities, and overall just cheap.

You will spend the most of your time waiting in line for the bar while standing inches from people sitting trying to enjoy their dinner in peace.

Oh and the romantic part? I could make a sit down meal at Burger King more romantic than this boat.

The Sunset Dining overall experience was very nice. The food was delicious but a little cold. My husband got Prime rib & I got the mahi mahi fillet. For dessert they served cheesecake which was great. The live entertainment had an beautiful voice. The alcohol beverage were GOOD. We would have dinner on the Maui Princess again.
