RescueK9s · November 01, 2024The ranch is located on the right-hand side of the road if driving up Kahekili Hwy. They have a small parking lot and some trailers they use as an office for checking in and signing waivers. They also have a restroom and sell some apparel as well. Reservations are required and cash for tipping your guide is recommended.
The horses and grounds are well-kept. The ranch also provides some sunscreen, bug spray, water bottles, and saddlebags prior to your ride. All good.
But this was the most expensive and underwhelming trail ride I've ever been on, and I've ridden a lot. Of the 2 hour private ride, about 30 minutes were spent on the ground for orientation and basic horsemanship, and once horseback, another 20 minutes on a chat by the trail guide on the ranch's history while at a stop.
The views of the ocean are breathtaking, hands down. But the entire ride is at a crawling walk - you basically ride down for some photo opportunities, then ride back up to the ranch. Not even a few moments of trotting.
Thought it was way overpriced and boring. -
Christian LAjos Doll · August 22, 2024Nice experience to see Maui in a different way. We went for an afternoon ride and been lucky it was a cloudy day. Otherwise I can get hot out there on the ride. (Be aware of the weather and think about booking the morning ride)
We have been welcomed very nicely,
Good briefing, you get all the information you need. They have a lot of nice horses, all easy to ride for beginners and first timers.
The ride takes you down to a nice spot with a great view and up the hill to the ranch again.
If you don’t like bigger groups better book a private ride. We were 16 in total, so there is some waiting time.
Jordan was on tour with us, a great guy- we had a lot of fun on the ride and enjoyed the views! -
Cordell Hendrickson · December 29, 2024The staff here is fantastic. I went to this place with my wife and our two young daughters, and the ranch hands at this place knew exactly how to explain things to us in a way that allowed us to have a little freedom during the tour, while still remaining entirely safe and comfortable.
The horses and tack were clearly in good shape and well looked after. The views were world-class. We saw jungle, coastline, whales, and mountains.
This was absolutely my family's favorite group event on our maui vacation. -

Highly recommend!
Friend and I both wanted to ride horses on Maui. Was looking for a location and so glad to have came across this Gem. It’s located on the Wailuku Side of the Island so it’s very convenient!!! Many many horses but you ride on what’s best suited for you. All the horses are maintained well. Horses are very happy, healthy, and Well Trained and Behaved!!! So magical to see them. The staff members are amazing. Jackie greeted us with an amazing personality , Jod , Don both did amazing training us to ride properly ,Bailey was touring with us down the trails and was friendly with the riders.
We had the privilege to ride on Pancho & Chance, Jackie was amazing with sharing the stories. We got to meet Nightmare (what a buff dude), Henry, Tex, and a bunch more.
This location could accommodate large groups. We had 14 in our group and they did amazing. The horses did awesome.
Purchased some souvenirs at the end! -
Tena Valenti · December 02, 2024Beautiful views. Awesome staff. Loved my horse, Aloha. Half the ride was mostly down hill. Then we stopped at a plateau for a short history story and the staff took photos of us on our horses. Then back up the hill. Not much flat land riding. Glad I went.
