Oneloa Beach Reviews Around the Web

Our favorite beach on Maui! The waves can be pretty big which makes body surfing and boogie boarding fun if you know what you’re doing in the water. It’s a long beach with beautiful views and lots of space to set up chairs and towels to soak up the sun. Parking is easy and cheap for the close-by convenience and world class beach experience. Don’t miss out.

We wanted to give a huge shout out to Barbara who works as a parking attendant for Diamond Parking at Big Beach, Maui. She has a lot to handle when people complain about the price to park there. She helped us to register our car today in the most economical way and these Canadians really appreciated her!
She is a very efficient and no nonsense worker and is an asset to her employer!

Fun, but quite dangerous. The lifeguards (who did a wonderful job) often warned us about the dangerous shore break, and how the beach leads Hawaii in injuries. Other then that, the beach was very fun! Sand was soft (and slightly sticky.) There were a couple of wading pools that were fun to sit in. I would only bring your kids here if you expect it to be a mainly beach day and little water. Takes an experienced person to get past the shore break.

Entry cost is $10 per car and $5 per person, so $30 for a family of 4. Seems like a great beach, huge and beautiful. That said, other than its size it is similar to that many other beaches up and down this same shore. Most of the others are free, and many have bathrooms and showers. This beach only has outhouses.

Loved going to this beach especially because it's spacious and you never feel surrounded by other beach goers. Waves break here in swallow water so be very careful.

Pro tip: Save $10 by parking on the street.
