Oneloa Beach Reviews Around the Web

One of the best beaches you can ever come across. Beautiful. We caught it at sunset in September when the crowd was thin, the picture doesn't come close to telling the full story how clear the water was, the widespread sand beach, the surreal wind and the color in the sky...

Most beautiful beach in Maui! Lots of history, the kings beach! Concreat American Pill box placement still can be seen from WW 2 Warning! Not a place for any children to go into the ocean! Powerful wave breaking at the shore. No lifeguards!!!!! Not really safe for any novice. You have been warned!!

Excellent place for sunsets and enjoying the waves. Sadly, there are always a few people leaving trash, but most care and clean up after themselves. Be careful with the waves, they can be quite overwhelming and almost always sound wonderfully thunderous!

Went there Aug. 13, 2021 on a Friday morning before 9am. Plenty of parking, paid the parking fee in the machine using debit card (good for the whole day). The weather was sunny, the sand is fine gold color. The waves are not calm but not extreme. My kids (8&10yr olds) stayed in the shallow and loved the strong waves, I had to watch them of course. The sand is great and I did not see a lot of pebbles that can hurt them. The southern side of the beach have volcanic rocks in the both sand&water, we stayed more in the middle side close to the parking area. We only stayed until noon when people start to come in droves. Overall, we love this beach area in Maui and would recommend to families with children.

We obsessively sought out the best beach in Maui and this is it. If you don’t have much time this is the one to go. Parking is a $20, and there are limited spots, but many people park on the road outside the gate, it’s just an extra 2 mins walk. Come
before 10am, as this is when more people start showing up. The beach is huge and so it makes it easy to find a nice spot. Beautiful views all around and a nice good surf for wave boarding.
