Wailea Beach Reviews Around the Web

  • Tyler · July 01, 2024

Wailea Beach in Maui is an absolute gem, offering one of the most stunning beach experiences you'll find on the island. This beach is renowned for its pristine white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters, making it a perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling.

Located in a heavily populated resort area, Wailea Beach provides a luxurious yet accessible beach experience. It is bordered by high-end resorts and condominiums, which means it can get quite busy, especially during peak times. However, the abundance of amenities more than makes up for the crowds. There are well-maintained public facilities, including bathrooms and showers, ensuring a comfortable visit for everyone.

Parking at Wailea Beach is quite convenient. While there is free public parking available, it can fill up quickly, so it's best to arrive early. The early morning hours also offer the calmest waters, making it an ideal time for swimming and snorkeling. Later in the day, the beach tends to get busier, and the waters can become a bit rougher, perfect for activities like boogie boarding.

The beach itself is wide and spacious, providing plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the sun. The calm waters make it a safe spot for swimming, and the rocky points on either end of the beach are excellent for snorkeling, with vibrant marine life to explore. The views from Wailea Beach are breathtaking, with clear sightlines to the neighboring islands of Lanai, Molokini, and Kaho’olawe, as well as the northwest stretch of Maui.

Surrounding Wailea Beach are numerous dining options and shops, making it easy to grab a bite or pick up beach supplies. The proximity to top-notch restaurants and resorts adds to the convenience, allowing visitors to enjoy a full day at the beach without needing to venture far for food or entertainment.

In summary, Wailea Beach offers a beautiful and well-rounded beach experience in Maui. Its pristine waters, soft sands, and excellent amenities make it a must-visit destination. Just be sure to arrive early to secure parking and enjoy the serene morning conditions before the beach gets busy. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience one of Maui’s most picturesque beaches.

Stunning picturesque beach with ample parking, showers, and powdery sand. Not a lot of natural cover for shade so come prepared. Go early for calmer waves and a chance to see sea turtles, crabs, and fish. Waves pick up noticeably in the afternoon.

This beach was extremely nice very quiet and well reserved and it was a lot of space to do activities and the water was really warm, but it was very calm so no big waves so perfect for children and families a lot of hotels close by and the only thing that sucks was the parking but other than that, it was really cool

It has one of the best sunset views, and this beach has many resorts so that you may find lots of professional photography. Parking sometimes gets challenging here as minimal space is available, but you may find it if you plan to reach a little early.

Great beach, lots of sand, no rock or coral for a good 30 yards out.
